Planned Giving

The Step Forward Society

The Step Forward Society encourages and recognizes bequests and planned gifts given to Kids Forward. Inspired by Wisconsin’s state motto, “Forward,” the society seeks donors who will “step forward” to secure a solid financial future for Kids Forward. Since 1881, Kids Forward has continually worked to improve the living conditions of Wisconsin’s children and families. By remembering Kids Forward in your estate plan, you will invest in Wisconsin’s future generations.

Your Legacy, Their Future

There is no greater investment than to invest in the life of a child. A gift to Kids Forward is an investment in a better life for future generations of Wisconsin children. Your legacy can help every child in Wisconsin grow up in a just and nurturing family and community.

An easy way to create a lasting legacy is to include a charitable bequest in your will or living trust. A charitable bequest is a provision in your will or living trust that allocates all or a portion of your estate. The bequest can be for a specific amount of money, a specific asset, a percent of the estate or the residuary estate. You don’t need to be wealthy to leave a legacy. Any size gift will have a significant impact over time.

Wills and estate plans assure that what you leave behind will go where you
choose, not where law dictates. Plus, you can leave a gift to your family and Kids Forward. Leaving a gift to Kids Forward, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, may save or eliminate federal and state taxes for you and your family AND increase your legacy.

Making a Difference

A gift to Kids Forward or the Kids Forward Foundation (collectively, Kids Forward) in your will or revocable trust enables you to support Kids Forward’s mission and make a difference in the lives of future generations of Wisconsin’s children and families. A bequest:

  • is easy to arrange;
  • will not alter your current lifestyle in any way;
  • can be easily modified to address the changing needs of your family.

Ways you can give:

  • Cash bequest in will
  • Beneficiary of retirement plans
  • Beneficiary of insurance policies
  • Charitable gift of annuity
  • Stocks and bonds
